For those who are not familiar with our community, we are located off of Exit 19 on the NYS Thruway, 90 miles north of New York City and 60 miles south of Albany. The Town of Ulster is in the heart of the Hudson Valley within easy reach of the Catskill Mountains and is known as the "Business Hub" of Ulster County. We are an active, growing community and enjoy our beautiful location with easy access to great skiing, fishing, boating, hiking, theatre, music, historical sites, shopping, fall colors, summer festivals, county fairs and much, much more.

The Town of Ulster is soliciting bids for the Demolition and Removal of debris as an asbestos abatement project.

Public Hearing Scheduled for Thursday, August 21st

The Ulster Town Board will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 21st at 7:10 PM to revise the definition of Residential Rental Property from four units to three units in Chapter 105 of the Town Code, Landlord Registry.

Ulster County Sets 30-day Period for Public Review of Agricultural District
August 10, 2014
Under Section 303-a of the Agricultural and Markets Law the County Legislature is required to review the Ulster County Agricultural District No. 4 every eight years. This District currently includes 10,602 acres. The 30-day review period begins on July 11, 2014 and terminates on August 10, 2014. The Ulster County Agricultural Farmland Protection Board has been directed to prepare a report as required by Article 25-AA of the Agriculture and Markets Law, and then a Public Hearing will be held on the district, including any proposed modifications.
