LAWN DAMAGE:

It has been a harsh winter thus far and it isn't over yet.  Once the snow melts, if you find town plow-damage to your lawn, please notify the Highway Department office and we will add you to our list for spring repair jobs.

MAILBOXES:

Although we are not liable by law to repair or replace any items within the town right-of-way, if your mailbox was damaged during snow removal, you may notify our office and we will send  a representative to inspect the damage.  If it is determined that our plow caused the damage, we will replace it with a standard mailbox and/or post.  Notification of such damages must be received by the Highway Department office by March 31, 2009

LEAVES AND YARDWASTE:

Do NOT place leaves or yardwaste on the roadside.  The Highway Department picks up these items during the Fall Leaf Collection ONLY.  Leaves and/or yardwaste can be brought to the Town Transfer Station on Miron Lane behind the Shop Rite Plaza.  Biodegradable bags may be purchased at the Town Clerk's office, located in the Town Hall, for our cost of $0.40 per bag.

BRUSH:

As in the past, brush is picked up at the convenience of the Highway Department.  Brush length should not exceed six to eight feet in length.  Brush should be stacked on the grass line edge - not on the road.  Please contact the Highway Department office to be placed on the list for brush pick up.

SPRING STREET SWEEPING:

The Spring Street Sweeping Program will begin on Monday, March 23rd.  See "Documents" below for the tentative schedule.  Please keep all vehicles off the road to enable a thorough sweep of each road.  DO NOT sweep or rake debris to the road edge; this hinders the sweeping operation.  With your cooperation, it is our expectation to complete the sweeping of every street in the Town within four weeks, weather permitting.
