The collection of hazardous waste is free and partially funded by the State Department of Environmental Conservation. Materials being accepted are: lead and oil based paint(latex paint will not be accepted as it is not a hazardous material), fertilizers, pesticides, household cleaners, paint solvents, hobby chemicals, etc.
Also being accepted are electronics for recycling for a $7.00 per carload fee; computers and their components, VCR/DVD players, deyboards, printers, monitors and TV's.
