Regular hours for the store are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday.
The store will provide jobs for up to 15 people from the Kingston area. The new facility will sell a variety of new and gently used clothing, accessories, household items and toys.
Donations are welcomed and are tax-deductible, because Goodwill Industries is a not-for-profit organization. Receipts area available upon request.
Proceeds from its stores support Goodwill vocational and training programs which serve people with mental and physical disabilities, unemmployed persons, others with barriers to employment and youth. Goodwill also works with local school systems and rehabilitation agencies to provide retail training for special education students and persons who are developmentally disabled.
The New York-New Jersey Goodwill serves more than 59,000 persons a year. In 2002, the agency's clients earned $120 million in wages, paid more than$19 million in taxes, and saved the government more than $50 million in public assistance.
